The Teaching Excellence Council is composed of award-winning University of Waterloo teachers, members of the Centre for Extended Learning, the Centre for Teaching Excellence, and Cooperative Education and Career Services, appointed by the Associate Vice President Academic. The
role of the council members is to provide direction and advocacy to advance teaching and learning at the University of Waterloo. The Council members are
nominated by Deans and heads of uWaterloo's federated college and university units. The Council is
chaired by Geoff McBoyle, Associate Vice President Academic.
